Hans Reitzel’s publishers – a publisher in the Gyldendal Akademisk Group
Hans Reitzel Publishers was founded in 1949 by Hans Reitzel. He soon established a reputation as a controversial publisher of high quality and daring literature by Henry Miller and Jean Genet, among others. Hans Reitzel Publishers also published topical nonfiction on psychology and pedagogy as well as the periodical Perspektiv.
Today, Hans Reitzel Publishers is one of the most well-reputed, academic publishers in Denmark. Our publication list includes non fiction and textbooks in the fields of psychology, social sciences, pedagogy, sociology and the humanities. Every year, we publish about 55 new titles. The authors are both Danish and foreign researchers and practicians; to mention a few: Zygmunt Bauman, Ulrich Beck, Pierre Bourdieu, Johan Cullberg, Anthony Giddens, Jean Piaget, Daniel N. Stern, Irvin D. Yalom, and Max Weber.
