Munksgaard Denmark – a Publisher in the Gyldendal Akademisk Group
In 1917, the first three titles were published by Munksgaard Publishers, and soon after, the publishing house decided to focus entirely on the field of medicine and science.
Ejnar Munksgaard (1890-1948), the founder of the publishing house, had an unrivalled talent for attracting the best writers and scientists – a talent which enabled him to obtain and maintain a unique position within these fields of publication – both nationally and internationally.
Today, Munksgaard Denmark Publishers still holds a leading position within its fields of publication, and the publishing house has expanded its areas of publication to encompass textbooks and reference books for a wide range of educations including medicine, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, social and health educations, nutrition and dentistry.
